Terms of Service

The rules for using Tiny Desk AI, buying credits and sharing the AI trend videos you make.

Last updated: October 28, 2026

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Tiny Desk AI runs the website tiny-desk-ai.net. In these terms "we" means Tiny Desk AI and "you" means anyone who opens an account or uses the site. Signing in or making a video counts as accepting these terms, so please read them first.

2. How Tiny Desk AI makes a video

You choose an effect and add photos: one to five people (or one group photo) for the Tiny Desk AI band, one photo for Bulin 47 AI, one to three for Dame Hombro AI. An image model draws each person, then an AI video model rebuilds a short reference clip with those people in the performers' places, and the clip's own sound is laid back on top. Every video is generated automatically by outside AI providers. Faces, hands, clothes, timing and mouth movement can come out wrong, and no particular result is promised.

We make fan remakes. NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts, Charlie Wilson, The Gap Band, Bulin 47, Kevin Wai, 47 Music LLC, record labels and the creators of the clips we follow have no part in Tiny Desk AI and have not endorsed it. Their clips, songs and trademarks stay theirs; owners can contact us through Takedown requests.

3. Who can use it

Accounts are created with Google sign-in, and you are answerable for what happens on yours. Buying credits requires you to be 18 or older, or an adult under the law where you live.

4. Photos you may and may not use

You may add a photo of yourself, of another adult who said yes to being in your video, of your own pet, or of art you own. Do not upload, and do not try to make:

  • anyone who has not agreed, or anyone under 18;
  • celebrities, politicians or other public figures;
  • nudity, sexual or sexually suggestive material;
  • material that bullies, threatens, defames or humiliates a person;
  • a video meant to fool people into thinking a real person said or did something;
  • anything that breaks someone else's rights or the law.

An automatic safety check looks at each photo before anything is made, and the AI providers can refuse inputs too. A photo refused before rendering costs nothing. If a render fails or is stopped, its credits are put back in your balance.

5. Paying with credits

  • Each video uses credits when you start it, and the number is shown before you confirm.
  • Each Google account gets one free preview: a 2-second 480p clip, watermarked, for viewing on the site only (no download). A preview that fails is returned, and free previews may pause for the rest of a UTC day once a site-wide daily total is reached. Unlocking a preview is paid with credits and renders the full video again from the same photo, so it can differ slightly from the preview.
  • Credit packs are bought once, and their credits never expire.
  • Plans renew on their own until cancelled. A monthly plan adds credits every month; a yearly plan adds the whole year's credits at the start, valid for 370 days.
  • Cancelling a plan stops the next renewals; credits you already have stay usable until they expire.
  • Closing your account also stops renewals. What happens to the period you are in is set out in the Refund Policy.
  • Stripe handles card payments; we never receive or keep your full card number.
  • Credits are not money: they cannot be cashed out, moved to another account or sold.

Refunds follow the Refund Policy.

6. Rights in your photos and your videos

Your photos remain yours. You let us store and process them, and pass them to our AI and safety providers, only so we can make your video and run the site.

Each finished video includes material from someone else's clip and its soundtrack. You may download and share it for personal, non-commercial purposes. How and where you post it is up to you, including music and video rights on each platform; a platform may mute or remove it, and some require AI-made videos to be labeled as such.

7. When the service is down or changes

We aim to keep Tiny Desk AI running, but it may be slow, paused or unavailable at times, often because an outside provider is. If the owners of a reference clip ask us to stop, we may withdraw that effect.

8. Limits of our responsibility

Tiny Desk AI is offered "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, and the most we owe for any claim is what you paid us in the three months before it.

9. Updates to these terms

These terms can change. Important changes are announced on this page, and using the site after an update means you accept the new version.
